I haven’t been on here in a whiiiiiile
I had to take the EAP practice in my English class last Thursday 1st period bright and early. It was stressful knowing that it’s a do or die hit or miss essay with a random shitty topic you are forced to write about in 40 minutes that judges you on your skills and future of showing you are prepared for college. I got my results today, I received a 5 “strong” out of 6 “superior” being the highest while most got 4 or below. I got positive feedback from my teacher and a few side notes that I had a strong understanding in the topic and points.
It makes me feel pretty relieved in a sense considering the fact that most students don’t show “college readiness” particular in writing essays. I honestly thought I did super bad because my brain felt so unorganized and scrambled trying to put the pieces together in a short amount of time; moreover, putting the correct facts and own experience down in 5 different paragraphs.
I know it’s just practice but I hope I get even better (6) on the actual test. I don’t know this just feels like a big deal to me and I enjoy English class a lot more than anyone I know. My teacher refers to me as one of his best writers in the class. The feeling of accomplishment in something you enjoy makes you feel good that you didn’t fail at something you are good at. Usually no one really takes the time to recognize my accomplishments and grant me for it, but something I wanted to share because it was the highlight of my day.

Ice cream dates are always good days

Time to work my little feet for a daily run. My running partner needs her ankle to hurry up and heel soon so I won’t be solo dolo :(

Ya girl got a new set of wheels! Thanks momma for my new car. No more driving the huge lifted truck. I’ll miss it some what. My mom gave up her first car for my first car. I really appreciate the fact that my step dad and mom went all the way out here to Petaluma to get me my car. They did research for three days looking for a perfect car for me. I didn’t even beg my mom or have to talk her into getting me this car like any other 17 year old girl. I definitely wasn’t expecting to get a car anytime soon for that matter. I really love my mom and am proud of her for being the only one supporting me all my life and my step dad for being there for the extra support as well. 2/25/12
